  • Strange widget behavior

    Hello,
I don't know what is the reason when I clic internal knobs on form6, iswitches from form0 appear and cover internal knobs. It looks like i touch iswitch and internal knob at the same time. I program in Visi-genie magic.

    Regards
    Chris

    Good day!

Can you replicate the issue without any Magic Code?

If yes, can you send us the simplest project you can make that will result to this? Perhaps 2 forms: one containing the switch and the other containing the knob.

Otherwise, it might have something to do with your Magic Code so it would be a good idea to check from here.

    Best Regards

          Hi,
I'm using the gen4-ulcd-50dt, and have an issue that fits this topic although I'm just using the visi-genie from the standard Workshop 4. I'm using mostly IMediaButton and IMediaSlider widgets, among some other types. My issue seems to be with the IMediaSlider. One of the forms is used as a "home" page (form) where IMediaButtons direct to other forms. The problem doesn't happen all the time, only once, but not necessarily the first time entering a form although in one case mostly. It also seems to happen after changing the slider and then changing to the next form via the home page form, again only once.
What happens is some remnant of the slider shows up in the next form (usually the parts that changed - slider knob and scale), only as graphics though, not as a usable widget. If I go back to the home page form and then back to the form I was just on, the issue goes away and doesn't appear to happen again until the next time I either go through a power cycle or just restart the main application.
I'm fairly new to using displays in general, and needing to get into a prototype build yesterday, so for now just living with it and hoping this is a known issue with some workaround.
          Thanks and Regards,
          Bob

There is a fix in the next Workshop that might just be what you are seeing.

Replace the unzipped attachment in the C:\Program Files (x86)\4D Labs\4D Workshop 4 IDE\INCLUDE folder.

Reload the inherents into bank 5 and see if that solves your problem.

              Hi Mark,
Thanks for the update. I tried it and now I'm sometimes getting the whole graphic from the IMediaSliders. But again only one time.
