  • A Few Newb Questions

    Hi Peeps,
So I've created my buttons etc in Genie, loaded it to uSD, run it on GEN4-uLCD-32DT, great, all works fine.
    But.....
    • I want my button pushes to go to a host (dsPIC33) so I would expect to assign I/O to pins, where does this code go, in what file?
    • Do I just create a txt file with, pin assignments, var declarations, etc?
    • what would this file ext be?
Have I missed the plot? Once I get started I'll be fine'ish.

    Any guidance would be appreciated
    Regards

    Good day!

ViSi-Genie Environment provides an I/O tab that can be used for pin assignment.
You can use it to set your GPIO pin as output without adding code.

However, it is actually more common to simply use the OnChanged Event of the button
widgets and set them to Report an Event which is sent though Serial UART.
