  • IOD9 Workshop IDE problems

    Hi,

    1. New IOD9 and UPA. Fresh install of boards and workshop4.

    2. Correct com port has been set in Workshop4.

    3. Compile/upload no errors except "arduino IDE does not appear to be responding.." and Compile timed out in error log

    4. No initialisation led/activity from UPA

    5. Can upload to IOD9 via Arduino IDE

It worked once this even, so 1 in 300 trys so far

    Hi,

Sorry to hear that you are having a timeout issue. Recent cores for the ESP8266 Boards take quite a considerable time to compile and may just be exceeding the allowed time.

Could you please try running the attached registry key to extend the timeout to see if it solves the issue.

    Best regards

    Paul

Paul its actually a faulty display unit, I managed to get some code into it, but the backlight starts to flicker after a few minutes then the display goes of. I have to remove power and power on again, this is using the UPA and also a dedicated 5v supply
edit: as of today unit is DOA not really happy about this
