Hey, I recently bought an 4LCD-70800480.

I drawed perfect circles on the screen. in the Simulator, they are perfect round. But on that display, the are oval?

As is tured out, the pixel aspect ratio (800x480 -> 1,666) does not match the physical aspect ratio (154mm x 85.5mm -> 1,8)? That means the whole picture on the display is stretched?

Whats going on with that?? How is that supposed to display correct geometries? I mean its not off by 2mm - the with of the display is like 12mm too much??

    Hello

4DLCD-70800480 does not have square pixels, correct, they are slightly rectangular.
As per the datasheet for this display, you can see the dot pitch is 0.1923 × 0.1784mm, meaning they are wider than they are tall.

This is just the nature of this particular display and has not changed.

If you take the 4DLCD-50800480 for example which is the same resolution but just physically smaller, this has square pixels, 0.135 × 0.135mm

Nothing can be done about it I am sorry, it is just the nature of the display itself and how the LCD glass is constructed.
