  • cannot find AcroRd32.exe

When trying to use context sensitive help, Workshop4 responds with "cannot find AcroRd32.exe". We use Adobe Reader DC (64 bit); I'm not sure if AcroRd32 is still available. Is there any way to change this or redirect it to my reader?

Um, so does Workshop, it 'defaults' to the 32 bit version if it cannot find the 64 bit version.

It does this by looking in the registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.pdf\OpenWithList

There should be a 'key' in there for 'Acrobat.exe', if there isn't it will (try) to use 'AcroRd32.exe', otherwise it will use the Adobe Reader DC (64 bit)

Since the key appears to be missing, try simply creating it in Regedit.

Although I must wonder if the reader was correctly installed in the first place
