  • uUSB-MB5 and Breadboard

    Question,
I have placed my uUSB-MB5 on a breadboard and connected it to a PMD-2 uLCD. When using either Graphic Composer or Serial Commander applications it says that the port used (in my case port 7) is already open and it doesn't acknowledge it so nothing works. If I were to disconnect the uUSB-MB5 from the breadboard then bother application works fine. Why is that? And can you tell me what the other pins, besides the TX, RX, Gnd, DTR, and Pwr, are for on the uUSB-MB5??

    Thank You,

    Sai

It's up in the top right corner here http://www.4dsystems.com.au/downloads//micro-USB/uUSB-MB5/Docs/Pdf/uUSB-MB5_DataSheet_rev1.pdf

Your breadboard isn't shorting DTR to 3.3v, TX to 5v, etc? is it?

No I don't have anything tied to power. I have hooked up the uUSB-MB5 to Microcontroller as follows:
      (Pin 1) DTR to Reset
      (Pin 2) TX to Rx
      (Pin 3) RX to Tx
      (Pin 4) RTS to --
      (Pin 5) CTS to --
(Pins 6 and 8) GND to Gnd
      (Pin 7) Suspend to --
      (Pin 9) 5v to 5v
      (Pin 10) 3.3v to --

      where -- means 'Not Connected'
